This idea took root from a framework I built as the foundation for a custom Mortex table. I have a fascination with the way objects interact with light, especially how they cast shadows. As is my habit, I placed the base outdoors in the sun—and in that moment, the geometry of the grid caught the light just right. I was instantly taken by it.
